Welcome to Folklore Village!
Midsummer Festival
July 5-8

Midsummer Festival is a magical time to share with family, friends and community under the full bloom of the sun. Enjoy music, song & dance workshops from the Scandinavian, Irish and American roots tradition along with prairie, home-spun craft & kids activities.
Our long and talented list of staff includes: Elise Peters, Art & Mary Bjorngjeld, The Roe Family Singers, Heidi Hakseth, Charlene Adzima Michaels & Andreas Transo, Kriss Marion, David Eagan, The Insect Ambassadors, Glenn Mitroff & Dan Lippitt, Allen & Judy Pincus, Greg Winz, Johanna Gorman-Baer and Anne Marie Kraus.
A Scandinavian Majstång pole is a unique part of the Midsummer Festival experience. We will forage for flowers, build, raise and dance around a traditional Majstång pole on Saturday afternoon. Also in the Swedish and Irish tradition, Sunday's evening program will include a Midsummer bonfire.
Please visit our calendar page for more details about all of the workshops available, the staff and a download of the registration brochure. Please note the early, discounted registration date is June 15th!
