Welcome to Folklore Village

Dragonboat Festival Day~June 1st

Choose from two traditional Chinese folk activities! Learn how to master the difficult Chinese dish, Zongzi with chef Shujin Judy Yeh earlier in the day. In the afternoon, the Blue Willow Dance Company will perform a variety of folk dance and teach a traditional Harvest Ribbon dance. Graham Patrick Oak Libby was born to program director Meghan Dudle and Daniel Libby March 27th at 3:15 pm, coming in at 8 lbs, 2 oz and 20.5 inches long. They are looking forward to introducing him to the Folklore Village community! Who We Are

Folklore Village is a nationally recognized folk arts and culture center dedicated to enriching lives through time-honored traditions. Since 1968, thousands of people of all ages have come to Folklore Village to gather with friends, meet new people, to eat, dance, sing and play. Come study with a master fiddler… sing with a gospel choir… dance until midnight… learn to spin wool… feast on jambalaya… join a back porch jam session… plant prairie flowers… or picture yourself as a student in a real 1890 schoolhouse… pass it on.
