Krumkakes, Rosettes, and Rømmegrøt Making

Krumkakes, Rosettes, and Rømmegrøt are three of the most delightful treats produced by Scandinavian cooks.  Krumkakes are baked on special waffle-type irons, and rosettes are made from batter formed around an iron, which is then deep-fried. Rømmegrøt is a tasty pudding made in the Norwegian way.  All are delicious!  Let seasoned cook, Marcia Thompson, lead you into your first experience creating these delicacies, and go home with the knowledge to produce your own at home.

 Marcia Thompson attended the Madison Area Technical College in the study of Food Preparation.  She has been the Office Manager at the Barneveld Lutheran Church for 25+ years, and has been the chairperson of the church’s Annual Norwegian Dinner for the past 15 years, where she regularly prepares lefse.  She is of Norwegian and Swedish descent, and so not only has enjoyed Scandinavian food her entire life, but feels committed to teaching others the art of making these cultural delights.
