Explore the traditional art of Pine Needle Basket Weaving. “Little” John Holzwart will be your instructor as you make your own small basket to take home. You will learn the art of coiling and creating simple stitches to make your own unique basket. Florida long leaf pine needles have been gathered and cured for you to use, and all materials are provided. Discussion about other basket styles and decorative options will be included.

Students need to bring the following supplies:  Bring reading glasses, thimble, and small scissors if possible.
