Since 1994, Folklore Village has been bringing concerts and interactive performances to older and disabled adults in our area through our Senior Outreach programs. All are welcome to our Senior Outreach events, from recently retired folks, to people living in care homes, to folks living at home and looking for fun and accessible activities. Folklore Village hosts senior concerts at Folklore Village and at assisted living homes, senior centers, and other partner sites in Iowa County. The Trippers Band
Yes, there is something good happening — and the Trippers Band is proof. For over 13 years, this group of local musicians has brought joy, nostalgia, and toe-tapping tunes to senior communities throughout the region. Known for their informal “jam-band” style, the Trippers create a welcoming, old-fashioned circle jam experience with a vibrant mix of country, bluegrass, gospel, Cajun, and folk. Featuring vocals supported by dobro, harmonica, guitars, bass, and banjo, their music resonates with heart and harmony. Originally gathering at the J.S. Tripp Museum in Prairie du Sac — hence the name — the Trippers have become beloved regulars at many senior living facilities. We’re proud to welcome them to Folklore Village as part of our Senior Outreach Series.

KG and the Ranger
KG & The Ranger bring the spirit of the American West to life through harmony yodeling, classic cowboy songs, and dazzling rope tricks. This award-winning duo captivates audiences with vintage Western style, engaging stories, and a deep love for the music of the singing cowboys. Their performances feature favorites like Tumbling Tumbleweeds and Cool Water, along with lesser-known gems unearthed from old records and films. With rich vocals, skilled musicianship, and theatrical flair, KG & The Ranger offer a warm, entertaining journey into Western heritage that’s perfect for all ages.
