Come spend Thursday afternoons with us for a season full of hands-on fun at Folklore Village! Each week brings a new adventure: making music, crafting old‑time toys, weaving and stitching colorful creations, and playing classic games from long ago. Everything is easy to try, fun to learn, and perfect for kids, grown‑ups, and everyone in between. Family Thursdays are always free. Drop-ins are welcome!

Make & Play: Folk Toy Makerspace
A creative, come‑as‑you‑are makerspace devoted to simple, traditional toys and playful making. Participants can try out a variety of approachable craft stations, experiment with everyday materials, and build toys designed for hands-on discovery. It’s an open, imaginative environment that encourages tinkering, creativity, and intergenerational play.

Textile Try‑It: Weave, Stitch & Dye Play
A welcoming introduction to the colorful world of textiles. Guests move at their own pace through stations that highlight different ways people work with fiber—through weaving, stitching, color, and texture. This session emphasizes exploration, tactile curiosity, and the satisfying feeling of creating something with your hands, with no prior experience required.

Parlor Play Night: Indoor Games from Yesteryear
A cozy, social evening of classic indoor games designed to bring people together. Participants can try new games, revisit old favorites, and enjoy lighthearted, face‑to‑face play in a friendly, screen‑free atmosphere. Simple rules, lots of laughter, and a relaxed pace make it easy for all ages to jump in.
