Students will concentrate on solo guitar, accompaniment, arranging, and songwriting focusing on the thumb and fingers working independently of each other.
You can also take a 6-week, online class with Brad from January 23 – February 27, 2025, via Zoom.
Students need to bring the following supplies: Your own guitar – one that you are comfortable with, preferably acoustic.
Materials fee: None. Instructor will provide handouts, sheet music, etc.
Brad Shryack hails from from Galesburg, Illinois and has been teaching guitar for over 20 years. He started playing in rock bands as a teenager, and after a few years, got really interested in Chet Atkins, Leo Kottke, and classical guitar. He has a great time studying the guitar, and enjoys working with his students.
Here’s Brad playing an original song, written as a tribute to Ernie Banks
And here, playing a cover of the Lennon/McCartney song “All My Loving”
Both are from his debut album, which may be heard on Spotify:
