Date: Saturday, December 13 at 7:00pm
Founded in 1852, the Madison Maennerchor is the oldest German singing organization in Wisconsin. Their mission is to perpetuate German and American choral music, German culture, and Gemuetlichkeit, a German word for warmth, friendliness, and good cheer. We are excited to host this intergenerational choir for the first time in 10 years! Following this special holiday concert, we will light a 14 foot pine tree the traditional German way with real candles, and we’ll sing some holiday carols around the tree.
The Maennerchor’s performance will be held at Folklore Village’s Plum Grove Church, located at 3185 County Road BB, Dodgeville, WI 53533 (across the road from Folklore Village’s main building, Farwell Hall). The tree lighting and carol sing will take place in Farwell Hall.
Admission is $10 adults, $8 seniors & teens, $5 kids 5-12
Kids under 5 are free.
