Photography: By entering event premises you consent to photography, video and audio recording and its release, publication and reproduction for Folklore Village promotional use. If you do not consent you must inform Folklore Village in writing, by the beginning of the event, of your desire to not be photographed or recorded, and include a photograph of yourself which clearly shows your face.

Non-discrimination: Folklore Village does not discriminate in participation or employment of persons on the basis of gender identity or expression, marital status, race, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, religion or sexual orientation. Folklore Village is an equal opportunity employer.

Alcohol: Folklore Village does not sell or provide alcohol; however you may bring ‘Class B’ beverages (wine, beer) to events. Alcohol consumption will be prohibited during programs geared toward children or where the programming is specifically for children or where children are expected to be the focus of the programming.

Lost and Found: Please mark personal items clearly with your name. We will hold lost and found items for ten days after an event, then donate them to charity. We will return items to you for the cost of shipping and handling.

Dogs, and other related pets:  We do not allow dogs at Folklore Village sponsored events. In compliance with the ADA, certified service animals for individuals with disabilities are permitted.

Activity risk:  Participants and volunteers need to be aware that during events and classes, you may engage in activities, or you may be working with tools, equipment or materials which if performed or used improperly could have the potential to cause injury.  Folklore Village’s activity leaders and instructors will provide training and supervision.  However, participants assume the risks of  joining in the activity or working with the tools required by and provided for your class.

COVID -19 and other health related risks:  Likewise, although Folklore Village will do everything possible to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment, participants agree to follow any special current health safety protocol and assume risk for any transmission of illness. Due to CDC guidelines regarding COVID transmission, we currently have no restrictions on attendance (vaccines, boosters, masks, etc.).  However, we ask that you do not attend Folklore Village activities if you are ill, in order to protect our community.  Our Board of Directors remains committed to monitoring and responding to CDC recommendations in the event of any special health related guidelines.
